As I step into the “Next Act” of life, I’m redefining what self-care truly means. It’s more than just bubble baths and spa days—it’s about intentional choices that nurture my mind, body, and spirit. It’s about showing up for myself so I can show up for the people and experiences that matter most.

Here are 20 ways I’m prioritizing self-care in my Next Act—because this season of life is about thriving, not just surviving.
1. Prioritizing My Health
Movement is medicine. Whether it’s rucking, strength training, or just a long walk outside, I’m making daily movement a must.
2. Getting Quality Sleep
Gone are the days of sacrificing sleep for productivity. I’m committed to rest, knowing it fuels everything else in my life.
3. Setting Boundaries
Learning to say "no" without guilt is a game-changer. I protect my time and energy by setting boundaries that align with my values.
4. Cultivating Meaningful Relationships
The people I surround myself with have a huge impact on my well-being. I choose to invest in relationships that uplift and inspire me.
5. Practicing Gratitude
A simple shift in perspective can change everything. I take time each day to acknowledge what I’m grateful for, big and small.
6. Making Time for Adventure
Life is meant to be lived fully! Whether it’s travel, outdoor exploration, or new experiences, I’m embracing adventure at every turn.
7. Embracing Rest and Relaxation
Rest is not a reward—it’s a necessity. I give myself permission to slow down, recharge, and be present.
8. Investing in Personal Growth
I’m constantly learning and evolving. Whether it’s reading, listening to podcasts, or taking courses, I’m committed to lifelong growth.
9. Fueling My Passion
I make time for what lights me up—coaching, writing, speaking, and inspiring others to live with vitality and purpose.
10. Honoring My Mental Health
Mental health is just as important as physical health. I practice mindfulness, seek support when needed, and prioritize emotional well-being.
11. Spending Time in Nature
There’s something powerful about being outside. Whether it’s a morning walk or a weekend ruck, nature keeps me grounded.
12. Celebrating My Wins
I’m learning to acknowledge progress instead of always chasing the next goal. Every step forward is worth celebrating.
13. Laughing More
Laughter is good for the soul. I’m choosing joy, surrounding myself with people who make me smile, and not taking life too seriously.
14. Letting Go of Perfectionism
Done is better than perfect. I’m embracing progress over perfection and giving myself grace along the way.
15. Creating a Morning Routine That Inspires Me
How I start my day sets the tone for everything. I’m prioritizing a morning routine that includes movement, gratitude, and intention.
16. Giving Myself Grace
I’m human. Some days will be better than others, and that’s okay. I’m learning to be kind to myself through every season.
17. Practicing Deep Breathing & Meditation
Even just a few minutes of deep breathing can reduce stress and bring me back to the present moment. I’m making it a daily habit.
18. Making Time for Creativity
Creativity is fuel for the soul. Whether it’s writing, speaking, or brainstorming new ideas, I’m embracing my creative side.
19. Surrounding Myself with Positivity
I’m intentional about the energy I allow into my life. I choose positivity, encouragement, and inspiration over negativity.
20. Owning My Path
Most importantly, I’m living life on my terms. This Next Act is mine to create, and I’m embracing every moment with purpose and passion.
